Director’s Note:
I wanted to experiment with juxtaposing the highs and lows of a couple's relationship, while in the midst of a highly charged situation such as a money heist. I was interested in taking a relationship to its limits and stress-testing how each partner behaves when the stakes and stress are at an all time high. I also wanted to throw in a major tonal shift that disrupts the entire rhythm, while serving as a catharsis and well deserved victory for our female character in the film.
