Director’s Note:

All we ever seek is genuine, uninhibited connection as humans. Disconnection is a catastrophic occurrence to the human psyche and an ever growing concern to our species as we continue to progress and connect technologically, and yet disconnect physically. I’ve always sought to rectify this growing sense of isolation and the void of loneliness created in its wake. Upon discovering that professional cuddling is actually a vocation that people do to help one another reconnect, I instantly realized I felt a responsibility to display a story intent on picturing the power of human connection and the healing mental and physical power of human touch. I wanted to display the strength in displays of vulnerability and emotional openness, in an effort to enforce how powerful it is when we connect with our fellow people and how destructive it is when we disconnect and the struggles to continue to do so in a world that only perpetuates isolation in so many ways. I hope this film can remind us of the importance of empathy and compassion for ourselves and one another.
